ICP PRE-COUNCIL MEET 2025

Salwan Public School, Gurugram, had the distinctive privilege of hosting the Executive Board of the International Confederation of Principals (ICP) for the Pre-Council 2025 on 24th and 25th September. The ICP, a prestigious global collaboration of visionary school leaders, champions the ideals of innovation, and educational excellence, bringing together the finest minds from around the world to shape the future of learning.
Day 1: A Journey of Tradition & Vision
The inaugural day commenced with a ceremonial welcome steeped in Indian tradition, beginning with the Tilak, followed by the lighting of the lamp. This was succeeded by a floral tribute to the revered founder, Pandit Girdhari Lal Salwan Ji, and Sri Shiv Dutt Salwan Ji, Chairman Emeritus, honouring their vision and legacy. The proceedings then gracefully moved to the Kashmiri Rouf dance and an artefact display, celebrating the richness of India’s cultural heritage.
At the school auditorium, a soulful Ganesh Vandana set an auspicious tone, after which Principal Ms. Rashmi Malik delivered an inspiring address, highlighting the school’s vision and commitment to holistic education. The Student Council then showcased the school’s ethos, its seamless integration of NEP 2020, and their unwavering dedication to nurturing future-ready, socially responsible leaders.
A thought-provoking assembly on Zero Hunger (SDG 2) by Grade II-F impressed the delegates, followed by an engaging dialogue with senior students. The school tour included visits to the Art and STEAM Labs, Shooting Range, Heritage Museum, and an exhibition of indigenous art forms such as Warli, Lippi, and Kalamkari. The day concluded with delegates savoring authentic Kashmiri cuisine.
Day 2: Culture, Connection & Collaboration
The second day unfolded with a Kerala-inspired welcome, complete with traditional attire, a captivating kathakali dance performance, and artefacts reflecting the kerela’s artistic brilliance. The Montessori wing provided heart-warming moments, as the youngest learners extended their greetings with joyous enthusiasm.
Classroom visits fostered meaningful cross-cultural exchanges with students, followed by the formal council proceedings in the conference room.
The two-day programme was a resplendent confluence of India’s cultural vibrancy and global educational discourse, leaving an indelible impression of unity, heritage, and enlightened leadership.
