Salwan Public School, Gurugram, observed the birth anniversary of Late Shri Shiv Dutt Salwan Ji, Chairman Emeritus of the Salwan Education Trust, with deep reverence and gratitude. A visionary educationist and true Karamyogi, he dedicated his life to the noble mission of Service Before Self.
The ceremony opened with the soulful prayer “Lab Pe Aati Hai Dua Ban Ke Tamanna Meri,” followed by reflections on the profound philosophy of the Three Hs — Head, Heart, and Hand, which formed the foundation of his educational vision. Students revisited milestones of his leadership, including the hosting of the International Confederation of Principals (ICP) Conference and the inspiring journey of the Salwan Marathon, both emblematic of his belief in holistic education.
A stirring Hindi poem, archival audio recordings of his words, and an expressive dance performance offered heartfelt tributes to his life and ideals. The Principal of the school shared anecdotes from his interactions with students and staff, reflecting his warmth, wisdom, and deep faith in their potential. She also administered an oath of well-being, urging students to nurture both their physical and spiritual selves.
The event concluded with the Salwan Song and National Anthem, leaving every Salwanian inspired to live his timeless values of humility, courage, and service to humanity.
