Visit to the Indian Military Academy & Forest Research Institute

Students of Grades IX to XII from Salwan Public School, Gurugram, along with sister-school participants, undertook a three-day educational excursion to the Indian Military Academy (IMA) and the Forest Research Institute (FRI), Dehradun, from 14–16 November 2025. The visit offered students a first-hand experience of the discipline, heritage and training ethos of the IMA, where they explored key landmarks such as the Khetarpal Auditorium, Hoshiyar Stadium, Vikram Batra Mess, the War Memorial and the academic blocks, while learning about various entry pathways and leadership training followed by Gentleman Cadets. At the Forest Research Institute, students explored thematic museum galleries on forests, biodiversity and conservation, and appreciated the grandeur of the historic campus. The excursion also included a visit to Sahastradhara and team-building activities that strengthened collaboration and confidence. Overall, the trip provided an enriching blend of academic learning, national pride, environmental awareness and leadership development for all participating students.
