Clubs & Co-Curricular

Find Your People, Find Your Spark

Children learn best through exploration and hands-on experience. Our clubs and coaching help students discover their potential and cultivate talent well beyond the classroom — from the Primary years right through the senior school.

Dance

A language that transcends all barriers. Students train in Classical (Bharatnatyam, Kathak), Folk and Semi-Classical, and Contemporary forms — refining aesthetic sense while building self-assurance, discipline, and elegance.

Music

A divine art and a language of the soul. Our curriculum spans Indian Classical, Hindustani Vocal, Semi-Classical, and Western vocal and instrumental music, developing both technical proficiency and expressive depth.

Fine Arts

Imagination and expression beyond technique. Drawing, paint, print, clay, construction, fabric and fibre help students observe, create and respond to the world around them.

Community Service & Life Skills

Service Before Self

Our life-skills programme follows the World Health Organisation’s framework of ten core competencies — from self-awareness and empathy to critical thinking and managing emotions — celebrating one skill each month through immersive weekly sessions.

The students bring real change through our environmental initiatives: e-waste collection through community outreach, environmental awareness, peer education, Project CACA safety learning, internships and the Heartfulness Education Programme. These experiences turn empathy, decision-making and responsible action into everyday practice.

STEM & Innovation

Ideas That Solve Real Problems

Our STEM culture invites students to design, build, and defend their own ideas — moving between the lab, the workshop, and the world beyond the school gate.

Samudra Kavach

A student-built STEM solution to marine oil spills — photosensitive sensors detect a spill and a pump deploys MSL-1, an eco-friendly dispersant. It secured 2nd position in North India at the CBSE National Coding Challenge and was showcased at the AICRA STEM Exhibition and Awards.

STEM Ignited Mindz

A hands-on club for our youngest innovators in Classes III–IV, where children explore science and coding through play, experimentation, and real-world problem solving.

Aeromodelling & Robotics

Senior students design, build, and fly their own models — moving fluidly between the workshop and the field to turn engineering ideas into working prototypes.

Model United Nations

Model United Nations gives students a forum to research world affairs, debate humanitarian and sustainability challenges, and practise diplomacy, leadership and consensus-building.

Student Leadership

A Student Council That Leads and Serves

Our Student Council bridges the student body and school leadership, cultivating participatory leadership across junior and senior grades. Members are chosen on merit, champion student welfare, and organise the life of the school.

01

Apex Body

Senior and Junior President & Vice-President, and Sports Captains lead the student body and set the tone for the year.

02

Main Council

House Captains, Vice Captains, and House Prefects — selected on performance — steward discipline, conduct, and everyday house life.

03

Student Committees

Presidents and Secretaries lead the Editorial Board, Social Responsibility and Environment Councils, Cultural, Discipline and Welfare Committees, the Entrepreneurship Development Council, and the Peer Educator Programme.

04

Living the Values

Rooted in the teachings of Gandhi, Nehru, Tagore, and Vivekananda, the Council amplifies student voice and reinforces cooperation, responsibility, and accountability across the school.

House System

Four Houses, One Salwan

From Nursery to Class XII, every Salwanian belongs to one of four houses — building a strong sense of identity, camaraderie, and collective responsibility. Through inter-house competitions in academics, performing arts, sports, and literature, the houses create a congenial yet competitive environment where leadership and character are forged.

Prithvi

Green — environmental stewardship, conservation and care for campus flora and fauna.

Sagar

Yellow — a thirst for knowledge, excellence, peer learning, discipline and punctuality.

Akash

Blue — freedom of thought, holistic development, sport and healthy competition.

Srishti

Red — universal consciousness, brotherhood, assemblies, festivals and school programmes.

Exchange Programmes

A Global Outlook, Rooted in Values

International exchange fosters empathy, acceptance and global understanding. Collaborations with schools and education leaders in Australia have created opportunities for dialogue on resilience, servant leadership, curriculum and culture.
