POSH Sensitisation Workshops

Staff members engaging in POSH sensitisation sessions focused on workplace dignity, awareness, accountability, and respectful professional conduct.

Salwan Public School, Gurugram organised sensitisation workshops on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act on 29 August 2026 for the Teaching, Support, MTS, and Driver staff. The sessions were facilitated by Advocate Janhavi Singh, with a focus on strengthening awareness about workplace dignity, appropriate conduct, legal responsibilities, and the importance of maintaining a safe and respectful professional environment.

The workshops highlighted the key provisions of the POSH Act, 2013, the importance of prevention, prohibition, and redressal, different forms of workplace harassment, power dynamics, and the role of institutional mechanisms in addressing concerns. Participants were also sensitised to the importance of timely reporting, confidentiality, accountability, and maintaining professional boundaries in the workplace.

Through practical examples and interactive discussions, the sessions reinforced the shared responsibility of every employee in creating an inclusive, gender-sensitive, and respectful work culture. The initiative reaffirmed the school’s commitment to regular sensitisation and to fostering a workplace where every member of the community feels safe, valued, and respected.
