POSH Workshop for Staff Members

On 23rd August 2025, Salwan Public School, Gurugram, hosted a workshop on Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) for its Academic & Administrative Staff. The session was led by Ms. Janvi Singh (Advocate, Project CACA), who shared deep insights on building safe and inclusive workplaces.

The workshop highlighted POSH as a gender-neutral policy ensuring dignity for all, the impact of power dynamics, and the legal framework including the Vishakha Guidelines and POSH Act 2013. Participants also learned about the functioning of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), different forms of harassment, penalties and accountability measures, as well as technological tools such as SHe-Box, Sakhi Centres, and the #MeToo movement.

Emphasizing a 360° approach of Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal, the session reinforced the importance of regular sensitization, awareness displays, anonymous feedback, and integrating gender equality into the school ethos.
