Salwan Public School commemorated Earth Day with the theme “Learn, Create, Act for the Earth,” engaging students from Montessori to Class XII in meaningful, hands-on activities.
From eco-friendly storytelling and “Waste to Best” creations to water conservation exhibits, carbon footprint awareness, cleanliness drives, and tree plantation, each activity showcased a strong commitment to sustainability.
Students further explored composting, eco-art, and innovation-driven projects, transforming ideas into meaningful action. With guidance from experts at Navkalp Foundation, students were actively engaged through initiatives such as nest-building activities for birds, promoting care for urban wildlife and the “Dana-Pani” campaign, which encourages providing food and water for birds, especially during extreme weather conditions.
The celebration nurtured awareness, responsibility, and a deep sense of environmental care.
A vibrant celebration of learning and action, empowering young minds to build a greener, more sustainable future!
Salwan Public School celebrated Earth Day on 22 April 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from the students of Grades 1 and 2. The celebration aimed to create awareness among young learners about the importance of preserving our environment. The day began with a refreshing nature walk, where students explored their surroundings and observed the beauty of nature. They were encouraged to notice different plants, trees, and natural elements, helping them develop a deeper connection with the environment.
Following the walk, students participated in a creative art activity using natural materials such as leaves, twigs, flowers, and seeds. They collected fallen items from their surroundings and used their imagination to design a variety of creations, including animals, birds, faces, patterns, and unique scenes. The activity was filled with excitement as each child expressed their creativity in their own way. To further enhance their understanding, students took part in a delightful storytelling activity titled “Earth Day Tales.” The young learners became little storytellers and shared short stories, thoughts, and ideas about caring for the Earth. The Earth Day celebration was a meaningful and enjoyable experience for the young learners, inspiring them to care for the planet and understand the value of sustainability from an early age.
