Salwan Public School, Gurugram organised a three-day residential excursion trip to Kasauli for the students of Classes V and VI from 17 May 2026 to 19 May 2026 in collaboration with Rocksport. The excursion aimed at fostering friendship, teamwork, leadership qualities, resilience and experiential learning among students. The journey commenced early in the morning with students reporting enthusiastically to the school campus before departing for Kasauli under the guidance of teachers and the Rocksport team. Upon arrival at the campsite, students were warmly welcomed and introduced to the camp rules, safety protocols and team activities. Students were divided into groups such as Red Rangers and Black Commandos to encourage team spirit and collaboration.
Throughout the excursion, students enthusiastically participated in a wide range of adventure and learning-based activities including Zip Lining, Orienteering Sessions, Nature Trekking, Guerrilla Warfare Activities, Camp Games, Bonfire Sessions, DJ Nights and Journal Writing exercises. The Orienteering and Trekking sessions enabled students to develop navigation skills using compasses and maps, while adventure activities promoted confidence, cooperation, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. An enriching highlight of the excursion was the nature hiking session conducted on the final day, during which students learnt about environmental conservation, ecological balance, lichens as indicators of clean air and the importance of preserving forests. Students also engaged in reflective experiences that helped them develop a deeper connection with nature. The excursion concluded with a prize distribution ceremony recognising students for their enthusiasm, discipline, creativity and participation throughout the camp. The students returned safely to the school campus with cherished memories, strengthened friendships and valuable life experiences.
